The Prison Ministry at Borger Church of Christ is driven by the biblical mandate to remember those in prison as if we were bound with them. We believe that no one is beyond the reach of God’s grace and that the hope of the Gospel can transform lives even behind bars. Our outreach focuses on bringing spiritual encouragement, consistent Bible teaching, and a sense of belonging to those who are often forgotten by society. By building relationships and sharing the message of redemption, we aim to prepare men and women for a life of purpose both during their time of incarceration and as they transition back into the community.
Our volunteers are dedicated to being a steady light in dark places through regular visitations, correspondence, and discipleship programs. We don’t just provide resources; we provide a connection to a family of believers who care. Whether it’s through leading a worship service inside the walls or supporting the families of the incarcerated on the outside, our goal is to reflect the compassion of Jesus. If you have a heart for restorative justice and sharing God's unconditional love with the "least of these," there is a place for you to serve in this vital mission.
